Overcome Stress if wanting Pregnant

A recent study published in the journal Human Reproduction showed that stress affects a woman's ability to conceive. Therefore, experts advise women who become pregnant to try a number of techniques to cope with stress.

"Yoga, meditation, and peace of mind proved successful public health impact. It can also help overcome the problem of infertility," said Courtney D Lynch, Director of Reproductive Epidemiology Ohio State University.

The study involved 401 female respondents who discontinue contraceptive programs and children undergoing. They undergo saliva tests to test the levels of the enzyme alpha-amylase and cortisol associated with stress.

The women provide a saliva sample when the study took place. The second sample was taken when they were menstruating. Both saliva samples are then compared.

Researchers analyzed the saliva samples and monitor the condition of the female respondents to determine how much time they need to get pregnant. Women who become pregnant during the first month of the study period (based on the first saliva sample, not the sample during menstruation) were also analyzed by the researchers.

Findings, according to the researchers, suggests that infertility problems arise when respondents are not getting pregnant after 12 months, despite sexual intercourse without protection. Throughout the study, researchers reported that there were 347 pregnant women who succeed and those who fail to get pregnant 54.

According to researchers, the hormone cortisol is not associated with fertility problems. However, high levels of the enzyme alpha-amylase increases the risk of infertility doubled. Levels of these enzymes indicates that the stress is prolonged.

Other factors that also affect fertility problems are age, race, income, health factors, and socio-economic.
