Often Rise of the Working Table For Slim Fast

Sitting behind a desk all day can increase the risk of heart disease and obesity problems. Only by taking time at least 1 minute to go to the toilet or just chatting with colleagues, this risk can be reduced.

Research shows, left the bench for 1 minute each particular interval can make waking waist circumference 4 cm smaller than the sedentary. These habits can also lower blood pressure is a risk factor for heart problems and blood vessels.

The more frequent trips to the bathroom or over to co-workers at his desk, the greater the effect on waist circumference and cardiovascular health. In the study, the total time spent walking during work hours at most 2 hours in a day. Research conducted by experts at the University of Queensland in Australia involves 4757 office workers with observation for a week in a row. The results of this study published in the European Heart Journal recently.

The participants were fitted with accelerometers, which is a tool to measure how much time is spent walking. In addition, each day the researchers also measured the waist circumference, blood pressure and levels of C-reactive protein, which is one indicator of heart health.

Results showed 25 percent of participants left the desk at least 30 times a day with an average total time of 2 hours. The highest frequency recorded is 1258 times a week while the lowest is only 99 times in a week.

Compared to groups who rarely get up for work, an avid participant stood for a walk had an average waist circumference of 4.1 cm smaller. The smaller the waist size, the smaller the risk of developing metabolic disorders and heart.

"We stood up, a lot of muscles to contract so that the posture of the body to be awake when done routinely. Just by leaving the desk for 1 minute, the contractions were already able to provide benefits," said one researcher, Genevieve Healy as quoted from MyHealthNewsDaily, Wednesday (12 / 1 / 2011).
